Performs laboratory testing according to approved test methods, SOP's and GMP's using equipment and instruments provided. This requires skills in the handling in the laboratory equipment and materials and also in the interpretation of data results. Assays are qualitative and investigational in nature and are performed in compliance with USP, FDA and other regulatory body requirements. Compares results with specifications and documented.


+ Works with instrument of advanced and/or sophisticated nature under limited supervision.

+ Executes basic equipment troubleshooting.

+ Prepares and standardizes laboratory solutions according to standard formulas to be used in assays and some instruments if so required by procedures.

+ Assists in or carries out work of an experimental nature while under limited supervision.


+ B.S. in Chemistry or Microbiology

+ At least five years of experience in a similar position within the pharmaceutical industry.

+ Chemist license desired.

+ Good verbal and written skills in Spanish and English.


+ Experience in the testing of minerals by ICP desired.
